My holidays | Day 4

So the late day 4 of the my holidays series.

On day 4 we decided to visit curios gypsy gallery, which featured many of curios clever creations.

His main gallery showed his favoured works that he mentioned was the 'good stuff'
It contained many things that you could twist, pull, and push to get gleeful results

He also had a little caravan to keep his miniature works in.
Entry to the caravan is free.

However, you better keep your kids under control!

And there was a little coffee shop to warm you up on a cold day.

And also a little button to get you even colder.
When you push the button, water sprays from a near statue.

My holidays | Day 3

Ohai dere!
So as promised, day number trois!

Today was a lazy day, so we went to see Purakaunui Falls

It was simply amazing, it was as if each ledge was carved personally to perfection

We then stopped at the Florence Hill lookout.

Until suddenly, the weather completely changed and it started raining hard out.

whoo

My holidays | Day 2

Hey doods & doodettes !

Here comes day 2!

We woke up late, (my fault) So we immediately started driving towards Curio bay, which a friend suggested and said that it was a beautiful place.

Stopping by at a couple of information booths in the middle of nowhere.

Luckily there were signs, so we didn't get lost!

And yet some more...

Our first look, and it stole our breath.

It was honestly beautiful.

And then we finally got to sure, to find the softest sand I've ever felt.

We didn't spend too long there, but we managed to get a lot of sunshine. On the way back, we stopped at the craft shed.

It contained many interesting pieces that were very promising.

We also stopped by at Papatowai beach, 'where the forest meets the sea'

Since, it was right next to the forest, the moss stained the water. Don't let the blue water above fool you!

There were many rocks hidden under sand as well.

So this was my day!

My holidays | Day 1

Ohai dere!

So I just came back from the Catlins, New Zealand just yesterday.
And I'm just going to tell you know that the Catlins is one of the most amazing places on earth. Apart from a million sandflies biting you every two seconds, or a bumble bee scaring the bejeezes out of you all the time, the Catlins is a beautiful place filled with relaxation and peace.
When the family went, we made sure to go on as many walks and little activities as possible.
Of course we didn't have enough time to go on all of the walks but we tried our best.

SO… HERE GOES DAY 1!

It wasn't that long of a drive till we arrived at McLean Falls holiday park i.e. The Whistling Frog in the Catlins.
The Whistling Frog

We checked in and since my mum didn't want to sleep in a tent, we were assigned cabin 3 and a tent spot.

Cabin number 3.

We looked around the campsite to find a whole bunch of friendly people. There were many people from around the world.

Ze Camp-zite

They were from places such as Canada, France, Germany, America, Japan and even from back home in Dunedin.

More of ze zite

We then went for a drive searching for the legendary McLean falls, they gave us a map. It was a HUGE help.

I was the navigator.

Then finally we arrived half an hour before sunset.

We are HERE

Whilst walking towards the falls, we encountered many types of trees, plants and birds that we have never seen before.

The Kamahi

We also encountered other little trickle falls that I found very beautiful.

Trickle, trickle, trickle…

Then finally, the falls. It was magnificent since I've never seen anything bigger, but still wasn't as small as I had expected.
None the less, the falls were still beautiful and I understood why they had a holiday park named after them.

I'M BEAUTIFUL

So then since we arrived quite late to the park, we only managed to see one thing that day but we were getting our rest for the rest of our action packed week.

Whats the biggest waterfall you've ever seen? Comment down below.
